All of the Specialists at the Redgrave Clinic are Registered Practitioners in whatever field they practise. This means they have the necessary qualification in the fields that they practise and that they follow mandatory continued professional development. Medical Practitioners: Registration with the General Medical Council entitles a doctor to practise in the UK. Registered Osteopath: The Osteopathic Act was passed in 1993 and as a result of this a statutory regulatory body known as the General Osteopathic Council was developed. Membership of the GOsC is mandatory for anyone wishing to practise as a registered osteopath: only those practitioners who have been assessed as safe and competent within osteopathic practise are licensed by the Council. Chartered Physiotherapists: In the United Kingdom the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists is the sole recognised examining and professional body and its members are recognised by the designatory letters “MCSP” after their name. All members of the CSP are entitled to become State Registered Physiotherapists. |
